Sphinx University is a newly founded organization established under Egyptian Republican Decree No. 36 of 2019. It is the first privately funded university in the region that is designed to fit different social levels.

The fast-growing university is operating in one of the most under-developed communities in Upper-Egypt, where different challenges are risen above the horizon. Among these challenges are the low economic standards, limited educational resources, poor health facilities, and the lack of general services provided to the public. Nevertheless, Sphinx university has adopted tremendous efforts to effectively adhere to the sustainable development goals (SDGs) in alignment with Egypt’s Vision 2030.

This makes it possible for the student to find everything he or she needs during his or her studies at the University.

Researchers receive continuous support to contribute to innovation across all disciplines. More than 61 scientific research papers have been published under the University's name in internationally recognized journals.
